“For this year’s edition of the Changing the Face design competition, DuPont invited architects to submit ideas for revamping the sawtooth-topped Rotunda, a favorite landmark and meeting spot in central Warsaw. The Rotunda houses Central Europe’s largest bank, PKO Bank Polski, on a highly visible site at the juncture of two busy streets. The winner would not only get $15,500, but an actual commission: the opportunity to see his or her grand proposal brought to life.”
Jury comments about our project: “We love the creation of a sheltered open square in this iconic meeting place. The uniform smooth flooring also promotes free movement and is simultaneously a clear end to Pasaż Wiecha.”
Here are the panels of the second stage. Soon we will post more info about the project!
